LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 16: Photojournalists stage an act of mass photography outside New Scotland Yard police station on February 16, 2009 in London. The event aims to highlight the threat of an amendment to the Counter Terrorism Act that could be used to prevent press photographers taking pictures of the police. (Photo by Oli Scarff/Getty Images)
Of course, it's not just press photographers who are vulnerable to this sweeping, draconian legislation. More here.

February 16th, 2009 5:32pm Report this commentWhen I was at 18 Doughty Street Talk TV one of our citizen journalists was stopped and searched for using his small camcorder we had issued him whilst stood outside Scotland Yard. He was stopped and searched around 3 times under this part of the Anti-Terror Legislation. This was in 2007.

February 16th, 2009 6:16pm Report this commentI dont believe Geert Wilders has proposed anything as "extreme" as this but he is demonised as "far right" and a "fascist" whereas socialism is (supposedly) accepted as part of legitimate debate despite being intrinsicly at the very least oppressive.
Wilders must be demonised for committing thought-crimes against multicultualism wheras others, far more boorish and bigoted govern Britain.
Is is not the case that language and then thought itself has been peverted with liberals viewed as fascists, and fascists viewed as liberals?
