Nancy Pelosi is, er, Pussy Galore?

Has anyone at the Republican National Committee actually watched Goldfinger? Apparently not. My friend Garance Franke-Ruta picked up on a web video posted on Youtube by the RNC which compared Nancy Pelosi with Pussy Galore. And this is supposed ot be an attack ad? Sheesh, when did being compared to Honor Blackman become a bad thing? I take no position on the question of whether or not the CIA misled Congress - the ostnesible subject of the ad - but this wilful ignorance of all matters Bondian cannot be allowed to stand.

Do these people not realise that Pussy Galore is the movie's heroine? Granted, her coversion to the cause is only confirmed after, literally, a roll in the hay with Sean Connery but from that point forward she's one of the Good Girls. Indeed, 007 and Felix Leiter would not have been able to foil Auric Goldfinger's assault on Fort Knox unless Pussy Galore and her Flying Circus had betrayed Goldfinger. That's quite important!

Accordingly, any sensible person watching the RNC video is left confused: do they mean to suggest that "Pelosi Galore" is actually on the side of the angels? Or, and I grant that this seems less probable, could it be that they simply haven't a clue what they're talking about?

Quite simply the best, unlike I have to say, the Ms Pelosi and her fellow democrats.

Gawd! Only the RNC could be stupid enough to make Pelosi look good AND give her the faculty to wiggle away from the worst of own goals. Why can't they hire anyone with a brain?

Alex, is that a redacting pen in your pocket or am I terminally banned?
For example, I was going to give you some kudos on the Cuba thing today, but knowing you won't publish praise or criticism from banned correspondents, I decided not to bother!
