I think it was the News of the World expose about the young man running away from his compound at Gethsemane dressed only in a loin cloth in the early hours of the morning that really did for him.

Or could it have been an outbreak of food poisoning at the " Last Supper?" Resulting in the loss of a 3rd Michelin star, the cancellation of a TV series, "Come Dine with Him" and withdrawal of a publishing contract for the Culinary Gospels?
