Jacksonville, Florida
The momentum right now is with the Obama campaign which is rolling out endorsement after endorsement following the win in South Carolina. Just today news has emerged that Teddy Kennedy, the governor of Kansas and the senior Latino in Congress are all now supporting Obama.
Hillary and Bill need something to end this slew of positive coverage for Obama and they have clearly decided that a victory in Florida is the best way to win a news cycle and change the story line. The problem is the Clintons agreed not to campaign in Florida because the state had broken the rules laid down by the Democratic National Committee. So, the Clinton are going right up to the line but not quite crossing it. Hillary will fundraise but not campaign down here and visit the state on primary night.
It is widely expected that Hillary will easily win Florida and her campaign hope that footage of her giving a victory speech down here will show that she is back on track and slow the Obama bandwagon. The one problem for the Clintons is that the Republican primary here could be decisive in the GOP nominating contest and so make it hard for the Clinton’s Florida story to gain traction.

January 28th, 2008 9:19pmI find myself torn. While believing Hillary will be easier for McCain/Romney to beat I find myself almost hoping that Obama wins the nomination if only to give a smack in the eye to the egregious Clintons and to all those Lefty Tory MP's who back them especially ace pillock Boris Johnson.
