A cult's last hurrah

Liz Anderson 12:29pm

Good oh. Gavin & Stacey is back on telly on Thursday evenings. In two years the cult BBC3 show has turned into an award-winning, must-see series on BBC1. The writers and co-stars James Corden and Ruth Jones decided after last year’s Christmas special that they would make a third and last series because the special had ‘asked more questions than it answered’. And, as Corden says, ‘Our show has always been about the story. It has a very definite beginning, middle and an end.’ So how will it end? With Gavin and Stacey living (sans parents) happily ever after? We will have to wait for episode six, but Jones confirms that it’s not ‘gonna end in multiple deaths’. Whew.
