One handers

Liz Anderson 1:43pm

Economic uncertainties may call for a cut in quantity (of actors) but definitely not quality this Christmas: two one-person — I know… but one’s with a man and the other’s with a woman — shows are about to open in London. Fiona Shaw will perform T.S. Eliot’s The Waste Land, directed by Deborah Warner, at Wilton’s Music Hall from 30 December to 10 January 2010. And at the Riverside Studios, Simon Callow is in two plays — Dr Marigold and Mr Chops — by Charles Dickens, from 9 December to 31 January 2010.
