Welcome to The Nare Hotel with its stunning sea views. The magnificent location and sub-tropical climate make The Nare a happy choice in any season. The hotel is open throughout the year with traditional house parties at Christmas and New Year.
The Nare stands alone in extensive grounds above Carne Beach surrounded by National Trust land, on the coastal path with wide sea views of Gerrans Bay and Nare Head, from which the hotel derives its name.
Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Gray acquired the hotel in January 1989 with the express purpose of improving and upgrading to make it Cornwall's leading hotel for discerning guests seeking comfort and tranquility away from the bustle of busy resorts. In 1993 The Nare achieved 4 star rating from RAC and AA and became the highest rated 4 star hotel in Devon and Cornwall. Now many consider it is indeed the most outstanding hotel in the West Country. Long-term caring staff give that increasingly rare unobtrusive traditional service where guests' comfort really does come first.
There are still only 36 bedrooms and no plans to enlarge the hotel, for that would detract from its country house charm. With this in mind, Toby Ashworth as resident family director follows in his grandmother's footsteps.
