The new Europeans?
Newsweek's Stryker McGuire thinks anti-Americanism is running out of steam across the continent. Hmmm. As he observes, Merkel and Sarkozy may be making friendly noises, but they don't appear to speak for the majority: "Western Europe is also exceptional in that a big chunk of public opinion remains strongly opposed to America even as the leaders move in the other direction."
