David Frum's quick-fire review of Sarah Palin's first major Q&A:
I'm glad he brings up the confidence question, because it's been bothering me too. Am I allowed to use the word "cocksure"? I don't want anyone to think I'm making sexually- charged remarks about her. After all, some people even noticed Obama's use of the F-word:She's under-informed and over-confident.
All I'll say is that I'm constantly struck by Palin's demeanour. People who like her would call it "sassiness". Either way, I wonder if it will catch her out in the end. There's one thing I haven't seen anyone else say that I think needs to be said. Obama did not just mention a pig. He immediately mentioned a fish. That's two animals in rapid succession. And both of these animals are frequently used in sexual insults referring to women.
