Is it true that Alisher Usmanov, the oligarch who wants to buy Arsenal football club, flew a party of UK journalists out to Moscow to share his thoughts with them? Hmmm.  Naturally enough, Tim Ireland - who has had his run-ins with Mr U - is keen to learn more. Iain Dale is rumbling too.

Money always talks, of course. And as the NYT reports, Britain's libel laws are having an effect far beyond our shores:

Today, any book bought online in England, even one published exclusively in another country, can ostensibly be subject to English libel law. As a result, publishers and booksellers are increasingly concerned about “libel tourism”: foreigners suing other foreigners in England or elsewhere, and using those judgments to intimidate authors in other countries, including the United States.
