Bashing Palin

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's confused about what the doltish Sarah Palin did or didn't say about Africa. One of Alex Massie's commenters sums up:

Isn't the next logical step to assert that Palin's entire candidacy was a hoax?
Not that Camille Paglia would stand for any mockery: she's still a diehard member of the fan club. As for whether Palin has been the victim of a sexist conspiracy, I've never bought that notion for a second, although this brutish attempt at humour, which I stumbled across yesterday, certainly crosses the line into misogyny.
