If you're a Mormon, does that make you a Christian too? Rod Dreher - who recently converted from Catholicism to Orthodoxy - poses the question as politely as possible:
It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if we had a Mormon president. In fact, given that I've had nothing but wonderful personal dealings with Mormons, and my admiration for their pro-family ethic, I'd probably be kind of comforted by it. But it is a big deal for a lot of Evangelicals, though, who won't consider voting for Romney because they believe he is not a Christian.
