As readers of my old blog will know, I'm mad about the music of the great singer-songwriter, Caetano Veloso, the poet of Bahia. Imagine how pleased I was to stumble across a live performance of his evergreen, Desde que o samba e samba (Ever since samba was samba). He sings it here with his old friend Gilberto Gil, now the country's Minister of Culture. If you need to unwind for the weekend, you won't be disappointed.
