My admiration for Brazil's national song clearly wasn't shared by some commenters. Andrew Sullivan thought the whole thing was "kinda fascist". I see what he means about parts of the lyrics, but I'd say that's more to do with Latin romanticism than Il Duce. Still, I'll try to redeem myself with a video of the country's "alternative" anthem, Ary Barroso's vintage song, Aquarela do Brasil. Carlos Barbosa-Lima is the guitarist.
Or if that's too quiet, you can go for the full-blown Hollywood version from Carmen Miranda and a cast of thousands.
