That outspoken anti-Zionist, Norman Finkelstein has been denied tenure at DePaul University. Martin Peretz is pleased: Finkelstein, he says, is "not a scholar, not really a rational person and certainly not a model of honesty and integrity for students."  From the other side of the barricades, The Arabist notes that Finkelstein has received an endorsement from the veteran Holocaust historian Raul Hilberg.
