Rachman also notes that a Belgian TV anchorman has apologized for suggesting that Nicolas Sarkozy was tipsy at the G8 summit. I ran the video a while back, then followed up with the Economist's blogpost, which cast doubt on the original claim. Looks like it was one of those stories that was too good to be true.
