Radical Islam in Italy
The issue is finally, it seems, getting the attention it deserves. Did the racist polemics of Oriana Fallaci make it harder to get a proper debate going? Perhaps. The reactions of certain sections of the Left - which saw Islamism as a useful anti-American, anti-capitalist tool - didn't help either.
