What's a lot more interesting is the question of how Obama's "bitter" comments made it into the public domain in the first place. As you may know, the  Huffington Post blogger who broke the story was a paying guest at the $1,000-a-head fundraiser. Most conventional journalists would have treated the remarks as off-the-record and thus off-limits. The blogger (a self-proclaimed Obama supporter) clearly didn't see it that way. Are we in danger of becoming too transparent, or is it just a case of making new rules to fit the new media reality?
