Btw, the photo-blog Un Oeil sur la Chine highlights an example of how closely the Party monitors the media. The editors of the Chinese edition of Elle Decor made the mistake of running pictures of Donna Karan's swish New York home, not realizing that one of them included a glimpse of a photo of the Dalai Lama. His image is banned in China. So that was the end of that.
