Tom Gross has put together an extensive round-up of coverage of the country's 60th anniversary. I have to disagree with him, though, on the question of Jeffrey Goldberg's Atlantic essay. Tom sees the piece as part of a western media offensive against the Jewish state. I thought it was just an honest appraisal of how the occupation of the West Bank undermines Israel's ethical claims - not to mention its demographic base. Goldberg replies to one of his main critics, Caroline Glick, over at his blog.
