No, no, no, bad idea. Although I used to loathe penalty shoot-outs, they now seem a natural part of the game.Golden goals were worth a try, but it's hard to recall them producing many satisfactory climaxes. Besides, teams now seem to able to cope much better with the physical demands of extra-time.
I suppose the ideal ending to tonight's match would be a Turkish win in the shoot-out. I really would like to see them get through, simply because they've shown such spirit. But can you really imagine German players missing spot-kicks? No.
