I’m challenging all Londoners who have bicycles languishing in the shed or garage to dig them out, dust off the cobwebs and reacquaint themselves with one of the most glorious ways of getting about. There are so many reasons to dust off your bike this summer – it’s a great way to get fit, it saves you money, and it’s good for the environment.
Well said. The capital will also be hosting a Freewheel event on September 21st in which 100,000 cyclists are expected to ride past Parliament, Buck House, etc, etc. I might even get on the train and take my bike into town so that I can join in the fun. Two-wheel-hater Bryan Appleyard will no doubt be waiting to ambush riders in his 4x4. (To be fair, he's right to complain about the more zealous members of the fraternity.)
