August 26th, 2008 12:45pm Report this commentWith regard to Clive James's 'take' on Boris Johnson's Olympics handover speech, do I detect an unhealthy contempt for the new mayor? Ping Pong or Whiff-Whaff was indeed invented by the Victorians as an after-dinner amusement on dining tables with champagne corks. So why shouldn't Boris say so? Methinks the joke's on Clive.
