Hillary Clinton had pledged to nuke Iran if it had threatened Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or the United Arab Emirates (she did not specify why it would ever have made any such threat, just as no one as ever specified why Iraq might ever have attacked the British sovereign bases on Cyprus “within 45 minutes”, or indeed at all), which first alone had given the Clintons at least eighteen million dollars.
Yet these are the countries that are holding the West to ransom. As she herself points out.
The nerve of that woman! The sheer gall!

August 27th, 2008 5:39pm Report this commentThe comments on Fox after the speech were interesting (recorded on Sky+ at 3am UK time!). There was no outright endorsement of Obama the person. It was all about her: "I believe in/have done this or that and so does/did Obama". She endorsed Michelle as a propsectively great First Lady, but not Obama as a great President in the making. It was all about her backing him - because she had to, she did, but no more than that - but not really pumping him up and saying how good he will be.
It was a great speech for Hillary (and 2012) but not a great one for 'The One'.
