Let's look at the bigger picture.

James Forsyth 7:40pm

The presidential campaign has gone into full freak show mode. At this rate, everyone is going to have exhausted their supplies of outrage by the end of September let alone October.

Tomorrow, the two candidates are appearing together at an event to commemorate 9/11 and then appearing one after the other at a forum on National Service. It might be a good time for everyone to reflect that whatever one thinks of the policies of McCain-Palin or Obama-Biden both tickets are comprised of good, patriotic Americans who want the best for their country.

There are enough big issues at stake in this election—Iraq, Iran, the economy, health-care—on which there are substantive differences between the policies and records of the two candidates for there to be a feisty debate without anyone having to obsess about this small bore stuff.

Let's hope Sen Obama uses this National Service forum to air his recent, belated recollection that he once considered joining the army. Needless to say, he decided not to go through with it - but the Joint Chiefs' loss was community organising's gain.

This US Presidential election is started with the debate o change.
But reality is what change both candidate is putting forward. Most important is that each and every voter should register and participate in this election.
For that I used www.statedemocracy.org
Whichis very helpful and easy.
