Ed Miliband on Paxman's questioning technique

Matthew d'Ancona 10:58pm

My favourite moment of the Labour conference so far: Ed Miliband accusing Jeremy Paxman of asking a 'Paxmanesque' question.

You can see why party insiders say that Ed is the cleverer Miliband.

I thought that one was quite funny. I think he comes across quite well, relaxed and good humoured. He's certainly much better than Ed Balls but he seems a bit unfashionable with a lot of people for some reason.

We need a serious man for serious times, this is not time for bimbo yuppies and people who would take 2 years atleast how to work out how to run the country.

Papa Miliband, if he is looking down from Marxist Valhalla, will be disappointed in his proteges. The Y chromosomes seem a little iffy. They're shaping up more like Groucho and Chico than Karl.

New Labour and Gordon Brown have had 11 years to work out how to run the country and still haven't managed it. They seem to have confused "run" with "ruin".

As for a serious man for serious times I agree - so why is a clown in charge?
