So exciting. Was at secret meeting with Dave last night when he told us Gordon was going to call the election on Friday, or possibly Monday. Or, possibly not for a while. But probably quite soon. Atmosphere is electric. Policy count 173 and rising. Got a bit squiffy at the north west regional development agency bash but doing best to obey our iron discipline "low alcohol" rule. We were going to go for no alcohol in run up to election but Jed thought that made us seem a bit puritanical. Best if we're all seen getting a bit drunk, so we can connect with People Out There. Anyway, if you read the small print of our health document I think you'll find that Mr Lansley is going to fund new drugs that cure both alcoholism and hangovers. Hooray!

October 3rd, 2007 10:38am Report this commentTamzy, listen poppet, I need your help. Living 'out in the sticks' as I do I'm a bit "out of the loop" compared to a trendy metropolitan such as yourself. And you are more of an expert on shopping than my good self. I have to confess to being a little confused and befuddled. I have caught up with all these trends on 'food shopping', and indeed I am ahead of the curve on the 'farmers market' thing ! And I am just about to speed with this term used in those lifestyle dating type programmes of 'boy shopping'. [Although I'm still on the shelf myself..] And Scary 'Mary' Portas has, to be honest, enlightened me a great deal about 'clothes shopping'. But I have still no idea about this thing called 'Photo Shopping' - it seems to involve dodgy politicians and the media, confusingly enough. And I have no idea where the shops are ! Knowing how much you mingle with politicians and the media, and how much you like shopping, I was hoping you could enlighten me somewhat.. One does hate to be perceived as 'out of touch'..
