Too nice?
Peter Hoskin 1:51pm
Steve Richards' balanced New Statesman article on the extent of the Brown bounce is well worth reading in full. But this passage jumps out:
"Another view from inside the government is that Brown is too loyal to colleagues. As one minister who had been pressing for changes in Downing Street for months put it, 'the untold story about Gordon is that he is too nice'."

Can we break away from this fascination with the Westminster bubble. We need substance politicians, not the self serving money grubbers we currently have. It is not all a game of 'who's most popular'. They are there to run the country. Can't we get Brand to phone Gordon?

He's been called 'courageous' and 'intellectual' too by the sycophants club. Let's add 'elegant', 'well-groomed', and 'courteous' to this Humpty Dumpty litany, shall we?

October 30th, 2008 9:31pm Report this commentPete,
Then whoever shot the photograph was taking the proverbial with a vengeance. It's cruel satire and makes Brown look even crazier than many of us here think he is. People like that hear voices and I carefully move away from them when waiting for a train at a tube station.
If the picture was supplied by No 10 they need their heads read for not spotting the implication. If by some other agency then they have their hearts in the right place.
Pursuing the same theme the NS picture shows Brown at one of his high spirited moments; at PMQs the sullen gloom seemed to have descended again. I await tomorrow week with baited breath.
