The other Sergeant revolt

November 20th, 2008 1:55pm Report this commentWell, Sergeant deserves medal. He must have been the only journalist with the guts to say NO, at that time, to Tony Blair.
I have admired him a great deal, even more so on the dancing programme, but he is up there with the best after reading this.

November 20th, 2008 3:16pm Report this commentGiven that TB never said anything worthwhile in briefings I'd be the first to get up and applaud JS for having the wit to stick two fingers up. Also shows how a compliant media churn out irredeemably useless information from the spinmesiters because they have white space to fill.

November 20th, 2008 4:08pm Report this commentAs LondonOne implies, the comments after the article are amusing coming from Independent readers. "David", "Daniel" and other self-professed 'Tories' from hereabouts ought to get over there quick to put the record straight.
The BBC's current political editor wouldn't need such a briefing, of course - he'd already have obediently taken the shillster's written note to recite it verbatim to camera.
