RUMOUR: David Miliband to resign Friday
James Forsyth 10:28pmUpdate: Nick Robinson on the BBC saying Miliband won't go.
Update 2: This Week is saying that Miliband and Hutton have said they disagree with Purnell's decision.
The word on the street which I haven't confirmed is that David Miliband will go tomorrow.

What a coward. Too frit to do the deed next year; and sheltering behind others this time.
Prime Minister material.... not in a month of Sundays.
The next Labour Prime Minister may not be born yet.

June 4th, 2009 11:27pm Report this commentImagine all the Blairites doing a David Davis style career kamikaze. I'd love for Brown to get away with this. All the Blairites nuked in one weekend. Let's hope everybody voted Labour today.

June 5th, 2009 5:59am Report this commentMiliband wont quit. He'll do what Portillo did in 95 (he talked about it on this week last night) and bottle it - hoping someone else will take Brown down and he can just glide into the job without the stench of blood on his hands. Total coward if you ask me - and it wont work.
Happy to be wrong on this one though!
