I have to wonder how much time and effort has gone into achieving this almost totally symbolic gesture.

No doubt it will be spun as a victory for right over wrong, but the reality is that if a government decides, for it's own purposes, to prevail over an individual, there's nothing the individual can do to stop it - right and wrong have nothing to do with it.

A sad day for those of us who believe that bullying is something to be discouraged.

I've just seen an idiot MP, I didn't catch his name, on SkyNews. He completely missed the point about not rewarding failure and, at least twice, made the point that people should not be rewarded for taking risks.

If you know who it was please flag up his name.
We should know which MPs are idiots.
Or maybe just have a shorter list, which MPs are not idiots.

Maybe he's bored because no-one will employ him or let him join their golf club.

So he's either giving half of it back in order to rehabilitate himself in the hope of employment, or it's a done deal already, for some nice little earner, a couple of days a week, somewhere.
