The word in Westminster is that the writ for the Norwhich North by-election will be moved tomorrow with the poll itself on July 23rd.

I believe Parliament's summer recess starts a day or so afterwards. So Brown won't have to come to the Commons and face a PMQs or listen to the taunts when Labour lose.

Labour MPs will all go off for their richly deserved (not) summer break when they can spend time wondering why the hell they didn't get rid of the one-eyed lying moron when they had the chance.

At 18, Thomas will be the youngest ever candidate to stand for Parliament.
