It just keeps coming

This evening, Peter Hain has announced that his campaign failed to register a £5,000 donation from Jon Mendelsohn, the chief fundraiser who was told by Peter Watt of how Abrahams was donating money back in the autumn. It is also been reported that it was Gordon Brown’s campaign manager, Chris Leslie, who put the Harman campaign in touch with Janet Kidd, one of the people who was donating money to Labour on Abraham’s behalf.

November 30th, 2007 12:32amIn a recent post, I suggested that we should not underestimate "Labour's capacity for self-destruction". I wasn't being prophetic or anything like that. I merely suggested that things could go "wrong" for Labour, just as they had gone "wrong" for the last Conservative government. I must confess that no-one is more amazed than I at the sheer speed with which things have turned around. Labour has clearly grown arrogant and corrupt with power and the public will soon tire of them - assuming they haven't already. David Cameron must ram home these three points: Why should only THE RICH have a decent education? Why should only the MIDDLE CLASSES enjoy living in a crime-free environment? How can it be RACIST to oppose immigration when BLACK British workers are seeing their jobs being taken by WHITE immigrants from Eastern Europe? This is the new POPULIST Conservative agenda - and it is a winning ticket.

November 30th, 2007 9:17amI suspect a course of six months in jail for politicians who break the law will ensure it does not happen again. Pour enccourager les autres.

November 30th, 2007 9:58amLooks like Harman is going to do for Brown what Prescott did for Tony Blair. But a right hook by any other name lands as sweet!

November 30th, 2007 2:34pmInteresting that Labour's chief fundraiser, Jon Mendelsohn has £5,000 of his own cash to give to candidates. It was his own money, right?
BTW, If Hain were ever to blush with shame, how would this affect his already saturated hue?
