Germany’s Xetra Dax 30 stock market index may be one of the strongest European markets of this year – up by 21.4% since 1 January – but investors are gloomy about the prospects for the euro zone’s largest economy. According to the ZEW Centre for European Economic Research in Germany, investor confidence hit the lowest point for 15 years, at -37.2.
