Let's hope next week the sad case of Dr Peter Slowe hits our headlines here.

The photo on young Mr Waugh's blog shows he may already be living up to his name.

Although the quote that "Blair had a clear understanding of the creative industries" may show that he's in league with Harmperson as having the most subtle sense of humour known to , err, persons.

Just watched the news and also read The Times comment tonight.

There's a war happening.

Who or what are our soldiers fighting and dying for?

Is it Thursday's ritual QA's panto, Brown's G8 photo op's or the establishment's 'face'?

Or is for total bullsh**?

There has to be a reason why we are actually in Afghanistan.

There was talk of the 'pipeline' transfering energy sources from central Asia to the Indian Ocean. But now parts of Baluchistan are destabilised- this through the Afghan situation.

Milliband says that Afghanistan is a springboard for attacks against us; the 7/7 terrorist bombings were a direct consequence of our involvement in Afghanistan- as explained to us from the bombers, on video, by the people that did it.

Isreal can't be any better off with us there and as stated beforehand by many; Israel is a superpower in it's own right and produces 80% of her own military hardware. Any threat to Israel could be solved by Israel. Good on them.

And let's not insult the memory of those who've lost their lives in this place that we're there for democracy or to build schools for girls....

So wtf are British lads and lasses, white, black and Asian doing there?

Why are they dying?

What is it? What is the reason?
