The number of NEETs – that’s those young people Not in Education, Employment or Training – has swollen over the past decade. There were 154,000 NEETs aged 16-18 in 1997, and some 206,000 at the beginning of 2007.

Better to draft them into the Army and send them to Afghanistan - oops, I forgot - not enough equipment for any more soldiers.

February 20th, 2008 11:28am Report this commentI din't know about the Army, but I wish they'd get down to the athletics track/velodrome/tennis courts/wherever. There'll be thousands of world class athletes in that number, they just don't know it yet.
