Boris leads London mayoral race
James Forsyth 8:14pm
Political Betting has details of a new YouGov poll which shows Boris five points ahead of Ken Livingstone at 44 percent. Livingstone’s people are reportedly claiming that their polling still has him ahead, but even here the advantage is only a couple of points. It seems that the Jasper affair and the Mayor’s bizarre behaviour are taking their toll.

February 27th, 2008 12:03pmOr perhaps it's Boris being ace rather than Ken being a dunce that has caused the sudden swing. I haven't seen a single positive message from the Livingstone camp. Although, admittedly being employed in the private sector, and white I am hardly his core constituency.

February 27th, 2008 12:27pmSaw Boris on the telly last night, the guy needs to tidy himself up. Scruffy fellow needs a haircut at the very least. I don't have a vote but this untidy blighter would not get mine if I did.
