"Dirty, cheating bastards!"

Peter Hoskin 2:46pm

So the most eye-catching – and ear-splitting – quote of the day comes courtesy of Chris Davies MEP, speaking about corrupt Brussels politicians:

Oh dear - another Huhne I think.
I will never forget Huhne nearly exploding in the house ranting and raving about Coulson.

Great rant but not as good as Oliver James on Newsnight

First sensible utterance I've heard from Chris Davies in years.

The only way to solve the problem that irks Davies so much is to leave the EU!

The bags under his eyes are big enough to stash away even his salary and exes. Too many late nights in Brussels' excellent restaurants I'd say.

Dear All

We all like a bit of the old drama and Chris Davies has provided it on tv.

I think the way the platform shook as he delivered his statement was interesting.

It was a good snapshot of how the country is feeling.

Some MPs could benefit from being totally removed from public life.

I hope the tv cameras do to Julie Kirkbride's seat so we can see the look on her face as the people speak their mind at the ballot box.

After all there is talk she might be standing again.

That would be an interesting campaign to watch.

Yours sincerely

I'm sure most of the troughers were from respectible Christian Democrat parties and as such their parents were married. Which somehow did not stop them being corrupt.

We true bastards are utterly opposed to corruption.

Mr Laird, you only mention Mrs
Kirkbride. Why is that I wonder?. No thieving bastards on the left I presume.
Surely you're not a man who measures wrong doing by who commits it?.

The only way not to be a 'dirty, cheating bastard' in Brussels is to quit being an MEP. The entire system is set up in a way that makes it pretty much impossible not to spend vast amounts of taxpayers money at all times.

So is he going to quit?

... doubt it.
