Matt, in the Telegraph, published a cartoon a few weeks ago with Brown getting his eyes tested: the letters read "F-A-I-L-U-R-E" and Brown read "S-U-C-C-E-S-S."

So Gordon has the Nelson touch! Only the Spectator would have imagined that.

Maybe the optician, who clearly isn't a member of the Cabinet, should lend him his specs.

To which Gordon would undoubtedly reply, "but don't my tractor statistics look big in these?"

The blue tie, so carefully chosen, approaches genius. Bravo Mr Heath!

"so good that we figured we'd share it with CoffeeHousers". Pathetic. Why did you "figure" instead of "think", Pete? Why do this little cadre of CH bloggers fancy themselves as hard boiled Americn hacks? Never use English usage is there's an American usage for poseurs.

“So Gordon has the Nelson touch!”

No; never, Nelson was a patriot a hero, a brave man and an inspiration to all.

Brown is a blob of cowardice; wrapped up in a web of deceit and incompetence and an inspiration to none.
