Cameron v Balls
Peter Hoskin 1:39pmCameron's enjoying a bit of a duel with Ed Balls. After the latter again muttered something under his breath, Cameron responded: "Thank you. I know he's the Minister for Children, but he doesn't have to behave like one."

Very good combination of lucid exposition and witty putdowns. Why does Brown always start chattering nervously as soon as Cameron gets to his feet? It looks so pathetic.

He is a deeply immature man.

March 12th, 2008 2:31pm Report this commentI thought Balls looked embarassed and stupid at Cameron's witty put-downs. Give me a lucid, literate "posh toff" over the immature, gurning government front bench any day. Memorable: Balls' facile and ignorant comment "So what?" when Cameron exposed the high tax burden. That from a cabinet minister. Pathetic. Note to Gordon Brown: Balls is the weakest link and will stab you in the back as soon as look at you, either deliberately through ambition or inadvertently through crass stupidity. Time to tell him goodbye.
