Balls: ‘I have resisted moving’

James Forsyth 3:27pm

Ed Balls has given an interview to The Times Educational Supplement which contains a comically audacious attempt to rewrite history. When asked about whether he really wants to be in his current job, Balls tells the interviewer, “I have resisted moving”. Now, I suspect this will come as a bit of a shock to Alistair Darling who fought off an effort by Balls to take his job.

Balls: "I have resisted moving."

So that's why his eyes are bulging!

I think he means that despite being loathed by the electorate, he has resisted looking for another job.

Have you seen that Guido has a photo of Mr Balls dressed in an SS uniform during his champaigne quaffing university days?

Still, its much worse wearing a top hat, isnt it?

This man is an incorrigible, recidivistic, liar and schemer. Why would anyone believe anything he says?

That photo of Balls as a Nazi is fantastic - but why hasn't this been plastered over the newspapers like Prince Harry's was? And Balls is staring at another chaps tackle... mmmmmmmmm what's that about?

M.Booth Ithink we all know why, in contrast with Prince Harry's error, these photos have not been plastered all over the press and discussed on the BBC etc. Would the BBC and Channel Four be reacting with restraint if the pictures were of someone from the shafdow cabinet...

I too have seen pics of Balls in SS uniform. So have another look at Balls in the pic above, normally he looks to have the same haircut as Adolf Hitler a short back and sides Austrian style. But now has a pointy wedge in the middle of his skull. What is going on?

The Balls photo appeared in The Mail I believe.

As Guido also points out he was a member of a misogynistic drinking club

And Guido lic school - also points out Balls went to a posh public school.
Thats the personal assistant - hand picked by Brown himself - who went to a posh public school. What are Browns views on public schoolboys again ?

As I understand it Balls did not resist from moving, house, I mean. He moved and 'flipped' quite a bit and pocketed the difference, cgt paid or not, still a very worthwhile move, financially.

You are spot on about the haircut - never noticed before. Suggest all references in future are to Von Balls...
