April 16th, 2010 5:25pm Report this commentThe problem with Lightwater is that she's supposed to be satire but when you look at and listen to Dave and some of his chums, it shades all too murkily into the truth.
It's one of the reasons some of us who should vote Conservative, won't.

April 16th, 2010 5:37pm Report this commentWTF is this?
It's neither funny nor clever, nor informative, nor elevating.
Ok, it's Friday evening . what's up? Everyone else down the pub?

April 16th, 2010 5:42pm Report this commentWilhelm - in your case, I think 'immature' means that you simply don't get it.
I get it, I just don't think it's very funny

April 16th, 2010 7:23pm Report this commentHere’s a simple test for those who watched the show. Which of the following comes from the Tory leader, and what’s conservative about it. Go on, have a guess.
On crime:
A: you have got to maintain the numbers of police; B: we need to see police on the street; C: we need more police on the street.
On immigration:
A: people feel there are pressures on immigration; A: immigration is too high and does need to come down; C: I just want a fair, workable system that counts people in and out.
On the NHS:
A: we want people to know public services are personal to people’s needs; B: the number of managers is going up faster than the number of nurses; C: the priorities are wrong – 5,000 managers were taken on last year.
And another thing: Wilhelm’s right, it is a piffle.
