April 6th, 2008 4:17pm Report this commentIf I believed in conspiracy theories, I'd say that all the official 'torch relay' chaps in blue and white were actually members of the Chinese equivalent of the Secret Service.
Surely someone official can debunk this outrageous theory....

April 6th, 2008 4:44pm Report this commentI was hoping the Snowman from the song 'We're flying through the air' la,la,la, would swoop down and retrieve the Olympic torch, however someone else stole Snowman's woolen hat and scarf instead. Its all a matter of perspective, is Politics and Sport more important than Human Rights? or is Human Rights more important than Politics and Sport?, either way watching Gorden brown and his hand picked crowd in downing street and Hot Fuzz running on route was most entertaining for a country that prides itself on Democracy, but most shameful none the less for Britain in General.

April 6th, 2008 6:54pm Report this commentI was watching this for a short time on SKYNEWS today; it was typically shallow coverage, lots of pictures but little clear explanation of the protesters' tactics.
But SKYNEWS was pretty negative , at least in the early stages. One of their reporters said it would have been disastrous if the protesters had extinguished the torch; no it wouldn't, it would have been embarrassing.
I don't know what the protestors' tactics were. Were they violent?
Any more details on what they did?
If they weren't violent then my initial reaction stands, pleasure at seeing peaceful demonstrations.

April 7th, 2008 9:47am Report this commentGenuinely chilling to see those Chinese security goons in Downing St. And typical cocked-up conmpromise by our Dear Leader - stand by the torch but don't touch it. Pathetic.
