This "mini budget" still leaves over one million of Britain's poorest worse off as a result of Brown's last budget at a time when inflation is going through the roof - their few hard earned and precious pounds stolen to fund a tax decrease for middle income voters.

How is this good? Or honourable? Or worthy of praise?

Are we really so cheap and intellectually dulled that we would change our minds and vote differently because of this sham? Are we all really so easily fooled by party trick politics?

And this from a Labour government which is supposed to care about the poor?

But isn't the Tories' cunning plan to lose C&N so that Brown isn't deposed? Ta very much Darling!

Check out PoliticalBetting's latest neat graph. In Mike Smithson's words "Well after consideration the markets have returned to almost exactly where they were 24 hours ago."
