Tony Blair revealed to be godfather to one of Rupert Murdoch's children
James Forsyth 11:33pm
It is a sign of just how close the Blairs and the Murdochs were that Tony is godfather to
one of Rupert Murdoch’s young daughters. But it is also a sign of the changed politics around Murdoch that this news will now be a major embarrassment to Blair.
Wendi Deng Murdoch has, the Daily Telegraph reports, told the October edition of Vogue that Blair was present at the christening of her two daughters on the banks of the River Jordan last year. He is, the paper says, godfather to the elder one.
The news of this deeply personal link between Blair and Murdoch will strengthen Cameron’s case when he tries to argue that it was a succession of British politicians, and not just him, who allowed themselves to become too close to Rupert Murdoch and his companies.
This week there will be a whole slew of stories about the whole phone hacking saga as the Culture, Media and Sport select committee hears from the former News of the World editor Colin Myler and its former legal manager Tom Crone who have both cast doubt on some of the details of James Murdoch’s testimony to the committee at the end of the last parliamentary term.

Still they held their noses when it suited them.

Much more to come about our ex-PM [and the other one who may have been as mad as a hatter].
More startling are the revelations of the deep and tangled links between Blair, the Milibands and the Gaddafi family.
The sort of straight kind of guy that gives slime a bad name.

September 5th, 2011 8:51am Report this commentThis won't matter. It would only matter if it was Cameron or Osborne and then we would never hear the last of it.
New New Labour's Propaganda Unit - the BBC - have already managed to airbrush Old New Labour's many outrageous crimes from the collective consciousness or blame them instead on the hated Tories. It's as if the Tories were never out of power - they are even copping the flak for the New Labour sponsored MI5 links to the Gadaffi regime.
New Labour, old and new, are the quintessential opposition. They spent most of their 13 years in power in opposition to the British - especially English - people and in opposition to the opposition.

There are a few other 'embarrassments' other than Murdoch coming to light now ... he seems to have been increadibly survile towards Gadaffi and sons. I do hope someone uncovers evidence that he was closely involved in the release of Megrahi!

September 5th, 2011 11:00am Report this commentAnd so, as the relationship between Bliar, Bruin and Libya gets murkier and murkier, as Nu-Labour seems to have been heavily involved in rendition (ie torture) and Milliband exposed as a colluder in everything that was wrong for the past 14 years or so, nice to see the Biased Bollox Corp preparing to rake over the coals and have another bash at that other bunch of inept Socialists, the BNP.
They can no longer deflect criticism from there ex-paymasters, but at least they'll try and defect the masses with some faux outrage.

I believe, in preparation for the release, he is living in his maze of tunnels under his Country Estate. Built it is believed by the same constructors who built the Gaddafi tunnels. Good to have the right kind of friends you know.
