Osborne killed confidence in June 2010 talking about bankruptcy, when the economy was starting to grow strongly.
QE needs to be done more imaginatively. Peter Jay has argued in your pages a few months back about using QE to directly fund tax cuts rather than buying gilts. Helicopter drop now please.

Another recession with "Made In Westminster" stamped all over it is now on the cards.

The Tories, the Lib Dems and Labour are completely clueless on the UK economy, no wonder they are sticking together like thieves on this issue.
