August 1st, 2008 10:30pm Report this commentI can't decide where is the right place to make this request, so I'll make it here:
I'm following with delight this latest development in the Fall of the House of Labo(u)r (and Brown), but as the parenthetical (u) suggests, I follow it from the United States. I thus find myself a little lost for background re: this Miliband character. The little I know about him suggests that he's young, personable, and goofy-attractive (in much the way that Obama seems to be over here). I know, of course, that you do not cater to an American audience, nor should you. There are, however, many loyal readers who would be quite grateful if you would provide a cogent backgrounder (American for "biography"; I've no idea whence the colloquialism arises) on him, pertinent to the current drama. Much obliged.

August 2nd, 2008 4:35am Report this commentI Second Scott's Suggestion. A Bio would be good. Also, it'd be nice to know why the attraction to India, and how often he commutes, etc. - is this New Rich Labour?
Somewhere, I read comments he'd made and thought they seemed pretty vacuous, so I'm wondering about education as well as ethnicity, socio-ec status, and ideology.
