Sorry for the long silence. I was hoping to post at least a couple of items when I was away, but it just didn't work out. As I said before, the hotel I'd been booked had no Internet connection, and it was surprisingly hard to find a decent cybercafe. I did manage to catch a glimpse of Coffee House and Stephen's blog; otherwise it was a cold turkey experience. I had camera trouble too, so don't have much in the way of pictures. (That's Plaza de la Independencia in the photo.) Just to round off a slightly chaotic trip, there was a mistake in my return flight book, which meant I had a four-hour wait at the airport. One way of killing time was to take the shuttle across to Richard Rogers' new Terminal Four. Raves all round in the press when it opened, but that enormous, wave-like roof made me feel as if I was lying in a gigantic tent whose roof was about to collapse. Nice escalators, though.
