Clark's latest libel

I'd be tempted to ignore Neil Clark's latest bit of Neil Clarkery, were it not for the fact that he alleges that I am guilty of "criminal harassment" of him. His 'evidence' is that he has found some critical anonymous comments left on various blogs, and that one of the sites they often link to is mine. Thus, he concludes, I am one of the anonymous posters.

Given the astonishing stupidity he evinces in his writings it's perhaps not that surprising that he should draw such a baseless conclusion. Reality is an alien concept in Clark's world, in which two plus two no doubt equals five. That presumably is how he can assert that Slobodan Milosevic is a humanitarian hero.

Maybe - duh - the fact that I regularly attack Clark's views is the reason why other people cite my site when writing about him.

I repeat: I have not left, nor would I ever leave, an anonymous comment, let alone a malicious one, on his or anyone else's site.

Clark also writes that "Kamm, his neo-con pal Stephen Pollard and their mysterious pseudonymous associates have done all they could to smear me, with emails, repeating Kamm's libellous allegations, being sent to editors who commission my work."

This also is, needless to say, utter bilge. I have never sent an email or letter to any editor in regard to Clark's work. I attack him regularly on this site, because I think he has disgusting views and deserves as thorough a verbal kicking as it is possible to give him. And I will carry on doing just that, even if his response is to accuse me of being a criminal.

I doubt very much whether the solicitor who runs the legal department at the NUJ (according to the NUJ's website there is in actual only one solicitor in that department) advised his client that the best way to proceed would be to post a grossly defamatory piece together with a number of equally libellous posts. Although I'm not exactly Mr. Pollard's biggest fan, for very obvious reasons if Pollard does decide to sue Clark, I'd be delighted to donate a significant sum towards Pollard's legal costs.

An utterly chilling comment about Oliver Kamm by one of Neil Clark's posters: "I look forwarded to you skinning this viper Neil."

I love the comment by one of his commentators that - "Wikipedia has been losing credibility day by day because of the actions of the Kamm scum". He means your's and Olivers alleged editing of his entry. Put in the context of Kamm's, admittedly excessive, denigration of Wikipedia, it is quite amusing.

Barely a day goes by when Clark doesn't sing the praises of the world's leading anti-Semites and anti-Zionists: Ian Gilmour, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, John Pilger, Hugo Chavez, the leaders of Hamas and Hizbollah. How utterly sickening that the pride of the Jewish nation – our children – are forced to share the same air as Mr. Clark. On the other hand, it is silly to overstate the importance of Clark (a mistake made by Pollard and Kamm). After all, even the whackos on the far left are hardly likely to take very seriously a man of Clark's low intelligence and vanishingly small talent.

Some people immature with age. Which is why you have to feel sorry for Neil Clark. Imagine having only senility to look forward to.

There is a webmong named Joshua who comments at Harry's Place - are you related? Enough if this merry banter. Clark gets the little things wrong, but the big ones right. Don't believe me? If it hadn't been for him, types like you would be patting themselves on the back and telling each other how wonderful it was to have saved all those Iraqi collaborators. As it is you don't even have that to console yourselves with. Yeah, I would like to say that I feel your pain but I can't lie. Watching you swivel as Iraq is lost to western capitalism is just a good belly laugh
