Nick Cohen's performance on Crosstalk, a strand on 18 Doughty Street, has more to commend it than just this, but...to watch him destroy the Yazzmonster is a truly wonderful sight. You can watch it, and relish it, here.
Really, is there a more irritatingly wrong person on the entire planet than Ms Alibhai-Brown?
(I should say that I have been unfairly given the accolade of having coined the phrase 'Yazzmonster'. I would love to have done, but I have merely appropriated it from the peerless Peter Briffa.)

June 2nd, 2007 9:46amIain Yabba and John Torode. Might have been interesting if (a) Torode hadn't made the mistake of accusing Yabba of anti-semitism for no good reason and (b) you'd stopped Yabba jabbering every time Torode tried to put in a comment.

June 3rd, 2007 5:55pm"Is there a more irritatingly wrong person on the entire planet than Ms Alibhai-Brown?" - Yes, there is. Cohen himself. And Mad Mel of the Mail. Any programme featuring both the YM and Cohen must have been pretty close to unwatchable.

June 4th, 2007 12:07pm"Yes, there is. Cohen himself. And Mad Mel of the Mail. Any programme featuring both the YM and Cohen must have been pretty close to unwatchable." Melanie Phillips is one of the very few people speaking up for the Jews of the Diaspora and Israel as a tidal wave of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism sweeps through Britain. What a shame that there was no one of her calibre when Britain effectively collaborated in the genocide of the Jewish people and acted so shamefully against Holocaust survivors in post-war Palestine. Her enemies refer to as "mad" for exactly the same reason gentiles have called Jews "dirty" for centuries, not merely as a gratuitous insult, but to diminish and deligitimise her. Time and time again she strikes home with devastating truths about their perfidy and prejudice. It is no wonder therefore that the only way her targets, gentiles and kapos alike, are able to respond is with this kind of venom. In doing so they go a long way to proving her case for her.

June 4th, 2007 7:53pmHi Joshua. I think Melanie and Yasmin are both a bit potty. Does that make me anti-semitic and an islamophobe? Or merely well-balanced? And it is not nice of you to say 'Britain effectively collaborated in the genocide of the Jewish people' when members of my family fought and died in the War against the Nazis. Quite a lot of other countries didn't, you know. By the way, you can add George Galloway, Gary Younge and Madeleine Bunting to the irritatingly wrong list. And Simon Heffer and Amanda Platell too.
